New opportunities through the application of SILIMIC
The implementation of modern technologies requires extensive experimental work and the development of new research methods.
Transparent concrete
Composition: 96% – concrete 4% – optical fibres
A high level of technical expertise among concrete producers and construction companies, as well as the professional knowledge of their employees, is a necessary condition.
The introduction of new solutions in concrete technology enables more efficient use of this material in construction.
SILIMIC silica fume, composed of 90% SiO₂, is most commonly used as an active additive in concrete and construction materials. Thanks to its microscopic structure and highly developed grain surface, SILIMIC ensures excellent pozzolanic properties, meaning it reduces calcium hydroxide. This feature is particularly useful in the production of high-strength concrete and other building materials such as dry mortars, fibre-cement products, and roofing materials. The fine-grained structure of SILIMIC also makes it suitable for products like refractory materials for heavy industry, rubber goods, and cleaning agents. Products containing SILIMIC exhibit increased strength, durability, water resistance, fire resistance, corrosion resistance, as well as enhanced resistance to chemicals and abrasion.
